The Dineo Foundation

Offering a wide range of programs that are crucially important in uplifting the lives of the disadvantaged. These include donations of lights, uniforms, food, water and sanitary products; education and application assitance and an ongoing mentorship programs.

The Black Male Positivity Project

Johannesburg, Gauteng

5. Gender Equality, 10. Reduced Inequalities
Programmes to inspire, empower and support Black men and boys on their journey to become more positive members of society. Aiming to redress stereotypes and provide the tools needed to set a more favourable example of what it means to be a Black man in South Africa.

Tosunga Baninga

A gender-based violence support organisation whose mission is to assist the victims of GBV while also educating the broader community. Through innovative and passionate advocacy, they campaign for safer communities whilst also assisting victims through their recovery and legal proceedings.

Ntsika Ye Sizwesethu

Alexandra, Gauteng
SDGs:
2. Zero Hunger, 1. No Poverty
Committed to improving the lives of those in Alexandra and surrounding communities, they operate a soup kitchen serving over 500 people weekly, run a vegetable garden for food security, and provide mentorship, skills development, and entrepreneurial support.

7. Affordable & Clean Energy, 13. Climate Action
A women-led community-based organisation whose objectives are to create awareness about alternative energy, climate change and organic farming within the community. They are building a biogas digester and customised community kitchen that will provide food to more than 200 households in Waterdal.

Sofia Foundation

Sofia Foundation provides training in leatherwork and baking skills for refugees and citizens to help them start their own businesses. They also offer workshops in running a small business and provide food parcels to the community.

Little Treasures
Location:
Observatory, Gauteng

10. Reduced Inequalities, 4. Quality Education
An affordable daycare centre for the children of refugees, allowing their parents to work. The childcare operates from 6am to 6pm and can accomodate up to 50 children. Qualified teachers run the program and each child gets two healthy, warm meals a day.
